A document may be formatted as an Adobe Acrobat© PDF (Portable Document Format) file to retain the original formatting of the hard copy version. PDF files provide graphic capabilities that have so far not been available in conventional Web browsers.
Whilst PDF files are generally larger than plain text files, the quality of reproduction is higher, especially in print.
A special reader, Acrobat Reader software for Windows(TM), Macintosh(TM), MS-DOS(TM), SGI(TM), and Sun(TM) is required and is available free from Adobe.
