Working with Parents to Support Youth Safety

Keeping young people safe and reducing the risk of youth violence in our community is the responsibility of everyone. Parents play a key role in helping to keep their children safe and it is important that they communicate openly with their children about situations which may impact on their safety.

Schools can help to facilitate these conversations by holding an Act Smart Be Safe Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentations2.7M information evening for parents and their children as an introduction to discussing issues of youth safety.
