Creative Generation Voices

Creative Generation Voices (CGEN Voices) celebrates students who excel musically in school choirs and as solo or group vocalists. Carrying on the success of the Choral Fanfare program, CGEN Voices 2017 saw 11 state school choirs and 15 solo vocalists take to the stage in August 2017 for three exciting state final events.

The CGEN Voices Choral division will continue biennially and will return in 2019. Nominations for the 2019 program will open in November 2018.

Vocalist division 2018

Creative Generation Voices celebrates students who excel musically as solo or group vocalists. In 2018, a selected group of vocalists will take part in a three day intensive workshop, which will provide student performers the opportunity to work with a variety of industry professionals, including:

The workshops culminate in the state final, which will be held at The Old Museum on Thursday 19 April 2018. With the intention to engage and develop the next generation of performers, we know audiences will enjoy an incredible evening of entertainment, with a special performance from one of the program mentors, Tom Thum. The event will be hosted by local Brisbane jazz musician, Franky Smart and adjudicated by Australian Idol winner Casey Donovan, musical theatre star Simon Gallaher, and international soprano Suzanne Kompass.

Tickets for the state final event will be available via The Old Museum's website from Wednesday 28 February. Tickets are sure to sell, so don't miss out on the opportunity to celebrate the state finalists of Creative Generation Voices 2018.
