Creative Generation Voices (CGEN Voices) celebrates students who excel musically in school choirs and as solo or group vocalists. Carrying on the success of the Choral Fanfare program, CGEN Voices 2017 saw 11 state school choirs and 15 solo vocalists take to the stage in August 2017 for three exciting state final events.
The CGEN Voices Choral division will continue biennially and will return in 2019. Nominations for the 2019 program will open in November 2018.
Nominations for CGEN Voices Vocalist division 2018 are now open. In 2018, the soloist division of the program will expand to include group entries. Student performance groups of 2-15 people are encouraged to nominate collectively.
Nominations for CGEN Voices will be managed in collaboration with the Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage (CGEN) nomination process under the 'Vocal' division of the program. For details about how to nominate and nomination requirements please refer to the CGEN State Schools Onstage nomination guideline document 1.5M. During the online nomination process, coordinating teachers will be requested to indicate whether students are nominating for CGEN Voices - vocal division 2018 (only), CGEN State Schools Onstage Featured and Backing Vocalist (only), or both programs.
Students who performed in CGEN Voices 2017 vocal division state final event will automatically be invited to the first call-back audition on receipt of their 2018 nomination. All other students nominating for the CGEN Voices 2018 vocal division must submit audition footage. Please ensure the audition footage satisfies the general requirements as outlined on page 4 of the CGEN State Schools Onstage nomination guideline document 1.5M.
