Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage

In 2015, Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage (CGEN) has celebrated its eleventh year as Queensland's largest youth performing arts event at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre (BCEC) with four performances on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 July.

Six hundred dancers, 600 choristers, 65 symphony orchestra members, The James Morrison Creative Generation Big Band, drumline, featured vocalists, massed strings, film and stage crew ranged from Prep to Year 12 and represented more than 120 state schools from around the state.

CGEN aims to mentor and foster the next generation of performers and provides opportunities for them to work with and learn from professional artists. This annual entertainment event has launched the professional careers of many students who have gone on to star in theatre, television and musical productions.

Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage 2015 was proudly presented by the Department of Education and Training, Principal partners Queensland University of Technology Creative Industries and AEG Ogden, major Partner The Courier-Mail, broadcast partner Network Ten and venue partner Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
