Tickets on sale Monday 30 March!

Tickets for Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage (CGEN) 2015 will be on sale from midday, Monday 30 March.

Tickets can be purchased through Ticketek outlets or by visiting Ticketek External Link.

Bookings for the schools preview and group bookings are available via the booking forms below.


Four arena-style shows will be staged at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Bank on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 July 2015.

The performances will feature more than 1500 students, including dancers, choristers, symphony orchestra members, a massed string orchestra, The James Morrison Creative Generation Big Band, drumline, featured and backing vocalists, film and stage crew.

Group bookings

Schools preview group bookings

Note: This offer is strictly available for teachers and students only.

School groups can attend a special preview of CGEN at 1 pm, Friday 17 July for a reduced ticket price. When 20 tickets are purchased, one teacher can attend for free. This is a great opportunity for students to watch their peers onstage and take a behind-the-scenes look into how a major production comes together. Let's Dance

This year's annual CGEN is gearing up to be another spectacular show with an exciting new segment involving Queensland Music Festival (QMF) and Queensland Ballet.

The new Let's Dance segment will provide a prestigious performance opportunity for more than 200 talented dancers from Queensland state schools and will explore the relationship between music and dance and include hip hop, tap, samba, Irish dance, ballet and jazz.

The performance will be created in partnership with leading artists James Morrison AM, Artistic Director of QMF, and Li Cunxin, Artistic Director of Queensland Ballet

Exciting new opportunities for instrumental soloists!

The CGEN team is excited to have music legend James Morrison AM involved with this year's show. James is looking for a talented student trumpet player who he will personally mentor and perform with during a special segment at the CGEN shows.
