Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage is a unique annual performance that this year featured more than 550 students from over 65 state schools from around Queensland.
The professionally produced show is the highest-profile public event staged by the Department of Education, Training and the Arts.
The show has evolved into a renowned educational and entertainment event of the highest professional standard, showcasing the wealth of talent in state schools and the quality performing arts opportunities provided to Queensland state school students.
Creative Generation — State Schools Onstage aims to expand the excellent performing arts education provided to students in Queensland state schools by giving them and their teachers the chance to display and extend their talents in an exciting, professionally produced show.
Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage 2008 audiences were overwhelmed by the level of talent of the young performers. The show is renowned for its inspirational development of innovative practices that strengthen links between education and local communities while engaging students and their parents in the performing arts.
