Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage 2009 was presented by the Queensland Government, through the Department of Education and Training.

Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage 2009 was proudly supported by:

Principal Partner

QUT - Creative Industries

Through innovative and relevant courses, leading-edge research and a proven track record in mentoring startup creative businesses, QUT is committed to working with industry and government to grow the creative sector. Our sponsorship of Creative Generation is another QUT partnership which is nurturing Queensland's creative potential and showcasing the state's best emerging talent.

QUT's commitment to the creative industries can also be seen in our world-class infrastructure. The Creative Industries Precinct at QUT's Kelvin Grove Campus is Australia's first site dedicated to creative experimentation in the creative industries, providing unique opportunities for collaboration between students, educators, researchers and industry.

The Precinct is also a destination for local, national and international productions, exhibitions and events which showcase emerging digital and new media work, multimedia performance, screenings, festivals and seminars. Three leading-edge research centres dedicated to developing creativity, innovation and commercialisation projects, and some of the state's foremost creative enterprises are also collocated at QUT.

As a part of this lively creative community, QUT Creative Industries students develop their talent across traditional disciplinary boundaries, encompassing media, new media, visual arts, performing arts, production and design. Our graduates are future focussed, with not only creative skills, but also an understanding of the creative economy, and how they can use their skills in a range of creative, commercial and business applications.

Broadcast Partner

Channel Ten

Network Ten is proud to be a sponsor of Creative Generation - State Schools Onstage 2009.

Network Ten has a strong commitment to the education and enrichment of Australia's young people and recognises the importance of fostering and encouraging creative practice.

We've found that young people have come to expect access to a wide choice of creative programming from TEN and we certainly offer this by way of diversity of genre: magazine, cartoons, drama, news for kids and documentaries.

Through the production of Educational Children's Television including quality programs such as Totally Wild and Toasted TV, Network Ten has fostered a strong relationship with Queensland school teachers and students.

TEN is dedicated to producing quality programs for and about young people and therefore maintaining our connection with kids is paramount.

We're very proud to be able to work with DET to build a synergy between the media and education.
