Testimonials

Hearing the applause makes me feel so proud of what I've done. I want to hold that last pose forever.
Year 4 student, 2011

Creative Generation has become an environment of creative, inspiring energy that literally transforms hundreds of lives each year, and it is my absolute privilege to be able to work so closely with so many of these kids.
Callum Mansfield, choreographer

We thoroughly enjoyed the experience; the rehearsals and the performances were just awesome. CGEN has given our students a once in a life time experience. Our school and community can't stop talking about it. The amount of support and emails congratulating us has been overwhelming.
Teacher, 2011

I think CGEN has been a fantastic experience and I hope it continues for years to come.
Year 10 student, 2011

It was fantastic to see my daughter up there singing. It was like a dream, and such a wonderful experience that she will never forget. She enjoyed being part of a team and everyone was supportive and professional. She has met some lovely people and has learnt so much about how a production is put together and how everyone plays a part in making it happen.

I attended Friday night's show at the Convention Centre and was very impressed with the energy, skills and commitment devoted to producing such a top class performance. The young people were clearly well supported to showcase their talents and the way each and everyone threw themselves into their performances and it was truly wonderful to see.
Elizabeth Fraser, Commissioner for Children and Young People and Child Guardian

A great show...wonderful lifelong memories and friendships for the students involved. Just brilliant!
Dave Mibus, professional musician

As teachers I think we participate in these events for our students, but Creative Generation is different to most other school organised events in terms of opportunities for teachers to put 'their stuff on show' in front of an audience of thousands (including principals, fellow teachers and the general public) with a professionally staged production.
Teacher, 2011

I'm sure everyone who went to the show was blown away by the talent! The choir, dancers, drama, orchestra, backing and feature vocalists were amazing! The backstage sound and lighting people did a great job too. From above the lighting was so pretty and it co-ordinated well with the dancers. Our family came including aunties and uncles and they all loved it! There was something for all ages. My brother-in-law said he enjoyed it better than the U2 concert!
Parent, 2011

I loved the whole experience…amazing. I feel it is very character building for the kids, and also gives them confidence for their future. Dreams do come true.
Parent, 2011

I attended the performance on Friday night and I was just absolutely blown away by the incredible performance by the multicultural choir. The students are to be congratulated on their efforts and the wonderful way they represented not only their school, their culture but also the whole of Logan City. I was just so proud to see them perform amongst such incredible talent and to see students from all cultures together!
Teacher, 2011

A huge thanks to you and your team for a seamless event. Queensland truly has some of the most amazing talent I've seen in my ten years in the music and entertainment business it was the best tribute possible to the generation to come.
Ricki-Lee Coulter 2009

I was so proud of all of the kids involved (especially the dancers) and the work they produced was awesome! The feedback I have received has been excellent and everybody was blown away with the quality of the show. Thanks.
Chris Sheriff, choreographer 2010
