Showcase Regional Award Presentation

A big breakfast will be held for all the community with the Assistant Police Commissioner Principal for the Day. The Regional Director will be presenting the Showcase Awards during the breakfast with other attendees including local politicians who have been invited to the school. Local Indigenous leaders will also be in attendance.

All classrooms will be open from 9 am - 11 am for family and friends to visit and join in or observe the activities in which the students are engaged.

Students, parents and friends of the school are invited to breakfast to celebrate State Education Week. Pancakes, fruit, sausage, baked beans, raisin toast, tea and coffee will be served on the morning. Each year this event gets bigger and bigger, catering for approximately 1000 people. Be entertained by the school band and orchestra. A special award will be presented on the morning to a parent volunteer and a staff member who goes beyond what is expected in their role at the school.

C.A.P.E Showcase & Careers Market

The Celebrating and Promoting Excellence (C.A.P.E) Showcase is an opportunity to celebrate the high achieving, excellence programs that the school has to offer. The 'Leads to Careers' Market is also a celebration of the education and employment outcomes available at WCC, with local and national employers attending to work with students. A senior arts display will also be open all week, to acknowledge the outstanding talents of the students.

P&C Day

Mount Molloy State School

The school will have a special school assembly to present P&C association members with thank you certificates. The school captain will give a public vote of thanks and the principal will outline what a difference the P&C association has made to the school. A member of the P&C will speak to students about their role and some of the things they have done in the last two years. Students will verbally present their written articles about the great things the P&C does for the school community and these will be published in the school newsletter along with photos from the parade.

We will be celebrating the wonderful contribution the Miallo P&C Association make to the school through a special parade and morning tea. School captains and the principal will present a speech and certificates acknowledging their special contributions. Staff will also be providing a morning tea for the P&C on this day.

Millaa Millaa State School

Millaa Millaa State School

Classes invite a past student from the school to share a snack and some memories of schooling from the past. Guests come together to share billy tea and camp oven baked bread. The essential message is that you don't have to be rich or famous to be respected and valued in a community. If you remain proud of your personal achievements, you can be happy being surrounded by family, friends and a great community.
