The Public Service Medal recognises employees who have consistently performed demanding jobs to the highest of standards and have made a significant contribution to the Australian community.
The Public Services Medal is part of the official Australian Honours System and awards. It is awarded twice a year on Australia Day and on the Queen's Birthday and recognises sustained, extraordinary service by employees of the Australian Government and of State, Territory and local Governments.
