Showcase Award for Excellence in Schools 2009
Submissions for the Showcase Awards for Excellence in Schools 2009 have closed.
Regional judging process
All entries have been submitted to the region's selection team. From this, up to 97 regional awards will be announced during State Education Week 2009 (1-6 June).
Schools may update/edit their submissions after they have been lodged with the Regional Coordinators. Any amendments must be resubmitted and approved before 9 April 2009 for regional judging.
State Award submission
Regional Award winners submit a State Award submission using the template provided in State Award Submission Cover Sheet and Submission Template (new window) 669k

, Appendix D) and forward a hard and electronic version of the submission to Regional Showcase Coordinators by 24 June 2009.
Regional Coordinators will forward State Award submissions to the Showcase Project Manager at Central Office by 26 June 2009 for judging by the State Evaluation Teams.
The submission should include:
- a short, catchy project title and a one paragraph project summary for public relations and media use
- a clear, concise description and qualitative and quantitative evidence of the school's contribution to quality outcomes and continuous improvement for students (see section 3.3 of the guidelines).
Make sure you have included all necessary information by referring to the State Award Entrant's Checklist (new window) 656k and State Award Evaluation Checklist (new window) 404k .
The complete Showcase entry should be presented in electronic and hard copy format. The document must not exceed 15 A4 pages - a maximum of five pages (excluding the cover sheet and project summary) for the submission and up to 10 appendix pages. Photographs should not be included in the submission though may form part of the appendixes.
