Department of Education International Women's Day Awards

The annual Department of Education International Women's Day Award is presented to one departmental staff member who exemplifies a commitment to enhancing achievements and opportunities for women.

In 2018, the department is pleased to introduce a new category to the program, the Young Achievers Award. This inaugural award will be presented to a departmental staff member, aged 30 years and under, who has demonstrated an ability to inspire and encourage their colleagues within the workplace.

Nominations for the 2018 program have now closed.

Celebration event

The Department of Education International Women's Day breakfast will be held on Thursday 8 March 2018 fom 8.30-10.30am in the Main Auditorium, Brisbane City Hall. The event will host up to 350 departmental employees for a sit-down breakfast and will include the presentation of the Department of Education International Women's Day Awards.

Departmental employees are invited to register their interest to attend the breakfast event. Registrations close Friday 23 February. Seats are limited, so register now.

Attendees will be notified on Monday 26 February 2018.
