Fanfare is the biennial statewide festival of bands and orchestras from Queensland state schools. It showcases the exciting music making that is occurring in school-based ensembles across the state.
Since its inception in 1985 Fanfare has fostered the development of thousands of young Queensland musicians and highlighted the achievements of music teachers of school-based ensembles in Education Queensland's instrumental music program.
Fanfare provides an opportunity for the school community to celebrate their young musicians and instrumental teachers by encouraging and promoting musical excellence though performance.
The Grand Final Concert at the Concert Hall at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre provides a unique and prestigious platform that places a focus on the high quality of school-based ensembles in Queensland State Schools.
