The State Government Departments Certified Agreement 2009
185k (the core agreement) provides for a consultative framework that requires each agency covered by the agreement to establish an Agency Consultative Committee (ACC). The Agency Consultative Committee is a critical element of commitments given in the core agreement. These consultative provisions are also reflected in our certified agreements, namely the Training Division and Industry and VET Policy Division Non-Educational Employees' Certified Agreement 2006, and the TAFE Educational Employees Certified Agreement 2006. In order to meet our obligations under our certified agreements, the Training section of the department established the Training Consultative Committee (TCC) (formerly known as the TAFE Industrial Committee).
The Training Consultative Committee operates as the peak consultative body for employee representatives and management to discuss strategic organisational matters of policy and industrial issues that impact on Training Queensland, encompassing all TAFE Institutes, Regions and Divisions. These matters may include:
From time to time, matters may be referred to TCC from the various Local Consultative Committees (LCCs) and other local workplace committees.
