Purpose of the Reference Group
To provide assistance, direction and support for initiatives and issues pertaining to rural and remote education
Function of the Reference Group
The Reference Group will:
- Assist in overseeing the development and implementation of the department's rural and remote education strategy
- Provide a forum for communication, information-sharing and reporting on the development and progress of rural and remote education programs and initiatives
- Consider and provide advice and feedback on rural and remote education matters, priorities and strategies within the department's areas of responsibility
- Provide a state-wide perspective on rural and remote education issues and facilitate links with related state and national projects
