Although aimed at university students, the information in this site is at an introductory level and would be understood by many lower secondary students. It introduces the classical theory of trade, explains tariffs and other restrictive trade practices and the international flow of money. As a prelude to developing an export opportunity, students will find this site useful in explaining the basics of trading.

This site takes a view of trade that is different from most, listing a number of reasons why countries trade, including, for the USA, as a foreign policy tool. It also gives the common controls of trade, export and import taxes, and lists acronyms of trade that students will find useful. The site will help students see some of the problems of trade that need to be considered when initiating an export drive.

in 'Themes: Economy'. Although the site is meant for business people, students will be able to gain some knowledge of the concepts of balance of payment and export/import data in relation to our trading partners.

The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade supplies this list of countries, in alphabetical order, as an aid for travellers and business people. Each country has an economic and trade information sheet, travel advice and the name of the Australian representative in the country as well as any aid program that may operate in the country. Each trading country also has graphs showing the state of trade over the past few years.

Upper primary students will find this useful for understanding the origins of trade and its universality.
