Parents and Citizens' Associations

Overview

All state schools offer opportunities for parents to join a Parents and Citizens' (P & C) Association. These associations are involved in a variety of school activities from policy to financial planning as well as tuckshops, fundraising activities, school functions and outside school hours care.

The department and the P&Cs Qld work together to support state school P&C groups. This partnership is governed by the EQ/P&Cs Qld partnership protocols.

For further information on Parents and Citizens' Associations visit the P&Cs Qld External Link website.

Policy, procedures and processes

The department and P&Cs Qld are committed to providing consistent advice to state schools regarding the management of P&C associations.

The following policy, procedures and processes have been developed to inform all P&C operations:

Accessing grants and funding for your school projects

There are many grants and funding resources available to school communities for use toward school programs and initiatives and to support students. The Resourceful Schools guide has been developed to provide information on how to access some of these resources.
