Active Kids, Active Minds: A Research Story

Who is the speaker?

Professor Doune Macdonald is the Head of the School of Human Movement Studies at The University of Queensland (UQ). Her research interests and work have addressed the challenges of curriculum reform and its impact upon teachers and teaching, and more recently questions of physical activity and young people. Professor Macdonald serves on the editorial boards of Sport, Education and Society and Physical Education and Sport Pedagogy, and is Vice-President of the international organisation AIESEP.

Tuesday 22 June, 1:45pm registration for a 2pm start to 4pm

This forum is presented free-of-charge to participants.

What is the focus of the session?

Professor Macdonald will overview the findings from phases one and two alongside reflections on the impact of the research on the school and implications for the future of Smart Moves as a mandatory policy.
