Who are the speakers?
Associate Professor Juhani Tuovinen: Co-Chief Investigator, and Eidos Research Fellow is a quantitative researcher lecturing in education research methods. His interests include cognitive science and education, distance, on-line and comparative education.
Professor Tania Aspland: Co-Chief Investigator, and Eidos Research Congress member is an education researcher and lecturer in research methods. She is the Director of Education Programs at the University of the Sunshine Coast.
Dr Bill Allen: Researcher at the University of Southern Queensland. His research focuses on policy analysis, curriculum, educational leadership and action/ professional research.
Dr Leanne Crosswell: Researcher and lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology. Her research interests encompass teacher resilience, middle years and teachers in low socioeconomic areas.
Dr lisahunter: Works with critical research methods in education and social research. Her research fields include primary-secondary transition, middle years of schooling, young people and education, and physical culture.

What is the Focus of the Session?
This Forum aims to explore and interpret findings from international and national literature regarding the relationship between operational aspects of schooling and student outcomes, and its implications for Queensland policy and practice. The operations considered are:
