Accreditation process

Education Queensland's accreditation process ensures that all external programs touring Queensland state schools support and align with relevant curriculum and policy.

Touring is defined as a program that presents at two or more schools within a six month period.

Artists, companies or presenters wanting to tour into Queensland state schools during school hours are required to gain accreditation unless:

the program is developed by a company that has an Education Liaison Officer who is funded by Education Queensland and is based in an external organisation that has a mutually agreed grant agreement with Education Queensland.
the program presented is a workshop or master class (educational seminars or a series of meetings emphasising interaction and exchange of information among participants. Workshops typically occur between teacher and artist/presenter who consult and collaborate to negotiate content).

This is in line with Education Queensland's policy document (SCM-PR-010) that governs external programs presented in state schools.

Before you apply for accreditation, it's important to read the following documents:

Once you're fully aware of all accreditation requirements, fill out an Application form 189k.
