The Arts education officers provide specialist curriculum and strategic advice (to senior management and other clients) on achieving educational excellence in strategic arts curriculum initiatives and cross curricular priorities.
The Arts education officers are responsible for:
- Preparing briefing material, correspondence, submissions, papers and reports on arts-related activities of Curriculum Division, Education Queensland
- Liaising, consulting and collaborating with:
- Arts and cultural organisations and other work units within the Department of Education, Training and the Arts
- Arts Queensland and other government departments and agencies
- Arts Curriculum and Arts faculties at universities and tertiary institutions
- Industry and commercial bodies
- Arts community organisations
- Undertaking ongoing research and analysis of contemporary arts education issues as they impact on students
The Arts education officers also provide Curriculum support for State schools.
