The Arts

In Queensland, Arts education encompasses five arts disciplines: Dance, Drama, Media, Music and Visual Art.

Arts Curriculum policy for State schools

Queensland State Schools "address the QCARF Essential Learnings in all Key Learning Areas (KLAs) each year from Year 1 to Year 9 with the exception of Languages Other Than English (LOTE). In Years 8 and 9 schools are required to address the Essential Learnings in one or more of the Arts".

Arts Curriculum documents

Queensland Studies Authority External Link (QSA) is a statutory authority responsible for curriculum development for the state, independent and Catholic schooling sectors in Queensland. Education Queensland schools (the state schooling sector) implement curriculum documents developed by QSA:
