Education Queensland partnerships with Arts organisations

Listed below are arts education programs and initiatives that are supported by Education Queensland.

Australian Children's Television Foundation External Link
For over 20 years the ACTF has been producing award winning Australian drama for young audiences and kits and teaching resources to accompany them for teachers. Many of the videos and films support teaching Arts' concepts and are recommended by major teaching organisations.

Australian Music Examinations Board (AMEB) External Link
The Australian Music Examinations Board in Queensland is a responsibility of the Minister for Education and Training and Minister for the Arts. Mike Tyler is Chair of the State Advisory Committee and a Director of AMEB Ltd, the Federal Company. He is currently Chair of the Federal Board. KITE Arts Education Program @ QPAC External Link
The KITE Program at QPAC is an early childhood arts education initiative of Education Queensland in partnership with Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC). KITE delivers relevant contemporary arts education experiences for Prep to Year 3 students and their teachers across Queensland. The KITE Program includes:

Musica Viva External Link
Musica Viva In Schools is one of Australia's most extensive music education programs presenting more than 2,300 performances in schools to around 400,000 children annually. This program is based on three key elements for success in music education: motivated students, well-resourced teachers and the experience of live music.

Opera Queensland External Link
Opera Queensland is the second largest opera company in Australia. Each year Opera Queensland presents three major operatic productions in Brisbane and numerous smaller operatic productions, musicals, concerts and tours of operatic and lighter musical material in many other venues throughout Queensland.

Queensland Arts Council External Link
Queensland Arts Council (QAC) is Australia's largest Regional Arts Network and the most extensive not-for-profit community based arts organisation. It supports a network of over 60 Local Arts Councils throughout Queensland and provides a broad range of performances, exhibitions, workshops, masterclasses and arts related services.

Queensland Theatre Company External Link
The Queensland Theatre Company's mission is to provide excellent artistic experiences, develop Queensland theatre artists, and so promote and develop theatre in Queensland and Australia. Since its very beginning Queensland Theatre Company has been committed to producing professional theatre and training programs to inspire and excite young people across Queensland.

The Queensland Orchestra External Link
The Queensland Orchestra is the largest of Queensland's performing arts companies and the state's only professional symphony orchestra. The Queensland Orchestra's annual season presents seven contrasting concert series, a state-wide touring schedule, an extensive education program touching 30,000 young people each year, a free community engagement program and innovative corporate workshops.

Young Conservatorium External Link
Griffith University's Young Conservatorium has become a leader in the provision of programs for young musicians. From pre-schoolers to Year 12 students, locals and internationals, classically minded students and those with contemporary interests, the Young Conservatorium provides an extensive range of exciting opportunities.
