After hours ethnic schooling (AHES) program

The After hours ethnic schooling (AHES) program provides community language classes outside regular school hours. It has been formally recognised as a provider of community languages in the National Statement and Plan on Languages Education in Australian Schools .

The AHES program:

provides classes in an increasing number of community languages and cultures to reflect Queensland 's multicultural diversity
complements the commitment of Education Queensland to provide all students with access to a broad range of second languages and cultures.
