In an era of increasing global connectedness, learning a LOTE means that students must be able to use information communication technology (ICT) effectively to communicate and transfer knowledge across languages and cultures.
It is vital that ICTs be integrated into the LOTE teacher's repertoire of strategies and into the student's array of skills to meet the National ICTs agenda and the requirements with the Essential Learning Statements for LOTE.
The Education Queensland Smart Classrooms initiative provides a broad range of support and programs for teachers to incorporate ICTs productively in their programs.
