History of Spotlight on Science
Spotlight on Science 2003 - 2006 was the six-step action plan designed to give Queensland students the science education and skills needed for the twenty-first century. It was developed following extensive state-wide consultation in 2002.
The action plan aimed to increase the scientific literacy of Queenslanders, increase the number of Queensland students aspiring to careers in science, and improve the overall quality of science education in the Smart State.
The Spotlight on Science action plan has now been followed up by the Science Education Strategy 2006-2009.
