National Values Education Project

The National Values Education Project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Education Science and Training (DEST).

Values Forums

Each state/territory is being funded to support schools to conduct values forums to develop their own approaches to values education in partnership with their local communities. Schools will have till June 2008 to conduct these forums.

National Framework for Values Education in Australian Schools

Schools have already received copies of the National Framework for Values Education in Australian Schools as well as a Values for Australian Schooling Poster.

Values Education Resources Kit

Schools have received a Values Education Resources Kit - an integrated package of resources to help schools with the holding of their forums as well as to develop a values education programme suitable for their school community.

Professional learning resources for primary and secondary schools have been developed for distribution to all Australian schools. The Values for Australian Schooling Kit is an integrated package of resources for every school is Australia. The print components of the kit are available for downloading from the Values Education External Link website.
