Key documents and professional readings

The Schools Reporting consultation paper (April 2004) contains Government proposals for new methods of reporting to students, parents and the community, in both state and non-state schools. Following feedback during the consultation phase, the Government will announce its decisions by the end of 2004.

Current policy and guidelines on assessment and reporting are found in the Years 1-10 Curriculum Framework.

The Report of the Assessment and Reporting Taskforce set out 13 principles for an Assessment and Reporting Framework and described strategies for growing an assessment culture in our schools.

The Curriculum, planning, assessment and reporting one page guide provides a succinct summary of the minimum requirements of teachers.

Selected links are provided to other sources (both within and outside Education Queensland) of useful background information about assessment and reporting. Note that these include links to Queensland Studies Authority resources.
