Curriculum and Principals' Alliance (CAPA)
CAPA is a joint initiative of the Principals' Associations in Queensland and Curriculum Branch to support principal curriculum leadership.
Aims
The aims of the alliance are to:
- continue to build curriculum capacity and capability in state school principals, and to
- support principals in their role as curriculum leaders.
The Curriculum and Principals' Alliance is committed to:
- high standards in educational leadership.
- quality teaching and learning in schools.
- focusing the work of principals on quality teaching and learning.
- building a more robust, student-centred, collaborative government education sector.
- optimising the potential of each individual student in every school.

A Manager from Curriculum Branch serves as Executive Officer of the Committee.
Terms of Reference
- To determine and communicate the support needs of principals around curriculum issues.
- To communicate and clarify curriculum policy and accountabilities.
- To provide direction and advice on the format, structure, timing and content of Curriculum Institutes.
- To monitor the effectiveness of current and on-going activities.
- To determine future curriculum needs and provide strategic advice about curriculum.
- To establish protocols for working collaboratively and cooperatively.
