The goal of school curriculum planning is to maximise learning and achievement for students. To this end, the guidelines show how to ensure that school curriculum planning provides a clear and shared understanding of the intended curriculum; allocates time and support for teachers to be responsive to students' needs; and has a clear purpose at each level of planning.

Three templates are provided to assist schools with their different levels of planning.
