Reporting guidelines

Guidelines for reporting student achievement (new window) 311k Microsoft® Word document provide advice on reporting as part of the curriculum and, in particular, how schools can implement the reporting requirements specified in the P-12 Curriculum Framework.

This letter has been written to assist schools to help parents of ESL learners in understanding the requirements for twice yearly reporting on the five-point achievement scale, and to acknowledge the possible mismatch between the grades achieved on the five-point scale and student effort and progress in English. The letter also contains an overview of the bandscale levels for ESL learners.

To 'customise' the translations (Microsoft Word documents only) with the school letterhead and other specific information about the student, schools can refer to the English version of the letter and the English inserts in the translations. PDF files can be supplemented with student name and dates as required.
