These guidelines assist teachers and school administrators to translate the P-12 Curriculum Framework into practice for students with disabilities.
The P-12 Curriculum Framework sets the expectation that schools and teachers enable all students to access and achieve the learning described in the mandated curriculum documents. This may involve adjustments to content, assessment procedures, teaching materials, learning experiences and teaching styles. It requires that the curriculum is designed for flexibility and supports teachers to be responsive to students' educational needs in a proactive way.
While these guidelines focus on considerations for students with disabilities, many of the underlying principles and approaches outlined are applicable for all students.
Information on Plans for Students with Disabilities is provided in Attachment 1.
