The Graduate Diploma in Arts (History Education)
An online course for primary and secondary teachers
Have you ever wanted to tell your students:

If so, the online Graduate Diploma in Arts (History Education), a joint initiative of the University of Melbourne and Monash University, could provide the practical support, skills and information you seek. The Graduate Diploma gives you an ideal opportunity to research historical and contemporary issues and communicate online with colleagues Australiawide, and then pass these skills onto your students.
The Diploma is available to all primary and secondary teachers. Five subjects are available:
- The Past Around Us (offered by Monash in semester one)
- Historical Understandings in Schools (offered by Monash in semester one)
- Asia, the Pacific and the West (offered by Melbourne in semester one)
- Rights and Justice in Australian History (offered by Melbourne in
semester two) - The World Since 1900 (offered by Monash in semester two).
Successful completion of two subjects will give you the Graduate Certificate while four subjects gives you the Graduate Diploma and can lead to postgraduate studies in history.
