Literate Futures Project
Welcome to Education Queensland's Literate Futures Project site. The purpose of this site is to share initiatives and activities with our education community.
The Literate Futures Project is responsible for implementing recommendations of Literate Futures: Report of the Literacy Review for Queensland State Schools within Education Queensland across the following priority areas:
- student diversity
- whole-school planning and community partnerships
- the teaching of reading
- future literacies.
All teachers are teachers of literacy. The challenge we face is how to make that live in all classrooms. Literacy is core business for Education Queensland, for all schools, in every classroom, in every key learning area and for every teacher of students in Years P-12.
The site will address several aspects of the project. These will be continually updated as the project develops.
