Literate Futures: Reading, Learning and Development Model
The Literate Futures: Reading, Learning and Development model is situated in the current Education Queensland Queensland State Education-2010 philosophy on the learning and development of teachers, in particular, relevant aspects of the performance frame. The model also draws upon current literature on professional development that has informed the Learning and Development Foundation.

- online materials to support learning communities
- face-to-face workshops, staff meetings and forums
- mentoring and collaborative relationships that are enhanced and supported through online modules and face-to-face workshops, and professional conversations and practice activities arising from engagement with the modules and workshops
- flexible, needs-based materials on CD-ROM for core knowledge and support to specific year levels. This also provides an opportunity for a hybrid online course if required.
