Sustainability education has been a feature of Education Queensland schools for more than 30 years. In many schools it has been creatively incorporated into the curriculum in each phase of learning, and is also reflected in the school's facilities and actions of its teachers.

Solar and Energy Efficiency in State Schools - Curriculum Gateway. This is a collection of curriculum resources to support the Solar and Energy Efficiency in Queensland State Schools project. These materials aim at assisting teachers and schools to design curriculum programs which involve students in knowing about and understanding solar energy use and in developing and implementing the School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP).
