Policies, procedures and guidelines
The P-12 curriculum, assessment and reporting framework is the overarching policy on providing school curriculum in Queensland schools. It sets out clear system-level requirements, expectations and principles of teaching and learning. This policy is supported by a comprehensive set of guidelines for teachers and administrators.
The P-12 curriculum, assessment and reporting framework specifies the current requirements for Queensland state schools in delivering the curriculum from Prep to Year 12. The framework is accompanied by a series of policy statements providing further detail.
Other policies, procedures and guidelines that support the safe, effective and responsible planning and delivery of curriculum, teaching and learning in Queensland schools include:

Planning processes to help identify, minimise and mitigate risks inherent in the delivery of teaching and learning activities.
- Mandatory languages in years 6, 7 and 8
Requirement for Queensland state schools to provide mandatory language studies for Years 6, 7 and 8 students.
- SCM-PR-010: External programs presented in state schools
Guidelines for ensuring all external programs presented to students in state schools support and align with the curriculum. Education Queensland has an accreditation process to support the implementation of this policy.
- SCM-PR-011: Animal ethics and welfare in schools
Assists schools to care for and use animals that support student learning responsibly in compliance with the Animal Care and Protection Act 2001 and Animal Care and Protection Regulation 2002.

Provides information relating to Queensland's instrumental music program including accountabilities, roles, responsibilities, student instruction, staffing, administration, hours of duty, music camps and tours and instruments.
