Roadmap for P-10 curriculum, teaching, assessment and reporting

The Roadmap for P-10 curriculum, teaching, assessment and reporting Adobe PDF document 308k describes five priorities to ensure high-quality teaching and improve the learning and achievement of Queensland students. These priorities provide a focus for the work of Education Queensland's central office, regions and schools.

Priority 1 Strong leadership with an unrelenting focus on improvement.
Priority 2

Shared commitment to core priorities.

Priority 3 Quality curriculum and planning to improve learning.
Priority 4 Teaching focused on the achievement of every student.
Priority 5 Monitoring student progress and responding to learning needs.

The Roadmap priorities and related leadership expectations are embedded in the Principals' Capability and Leadership Framework and reflected in the Teaching and Learning Audit.

The Roadmap will be updated throughout 2011 to assist schools transition to the Australian Curriculum. The current version of the Roadmap includes specific advice for Prep and resources to assist schools plan and prepare for the 2012 implementation of the Australian Curriculum in English, mathematics and science in Prep to Year 10.

Resource lists

To assist both principals and teachers to realise each of these priorities, the following resource lists (available on the Learning Place - a password protected site) are provided:
