Queensland the Smart State - Education and Training Reforms for the Future: A White Paper

In November 2002 the Queensland Government released Queensland the Smart State - Education and Training Reforms for the Future: A White Paper. (new window) 357k Adobe PDF document

The White Paper outlines the Government's future policy direction for education and training. The package covers all stages of education from preschool through to middle and senior schooling, as well as vocational education and training, and employment.

The White Paper was produced following five months of consultation, based on the Government's policy Green Paper (new window) 937k Adobe PDF document, with parents, young people, teachers, employers, schools, TAFE and community leaders. The package of reforms contains 19 specific recommendations that will be implemented through partnerships between schools, TAFE, young people, parents, employers and local communities.
