The Queensland School Drug Education Strategy (QSDES) supported a number of schools to plan and implement comprehensive drug education programs. All schools hosted or participated in professional development activities that improved their knowledge of drug education, the Principles for School Drug Education
(new window)
and the Australian Government resources
.
The projects aimed to build the capacity of school staff to identify the needs of their school and develop and implement a comprehensive drug education program within the existing curriculum.
The Case Studies provide an overview of how each school or cluster addressed drug education within a whole school approach.
