A wide range of supportive psychological health and wellbeing services are available to employees and workplaces. These services may include the following:
For staff employed within a School or within an Education Regional Office, including regionally based Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) staff, Employee Assistance services are delivered by internal Employee Advisors.
Employee Advisors across the state are qualified counsellors, psychologists or social workers who are able to provide a range of Employee Assistance and Organisational Wellbeing services and programs.
For TAFE, Training Queensland, Employment and Brisbane Central Office/CBD staff, including staff based at Coorparoo, Employee Assistance services are provided by external employee assistance service, Davidson Trahaire Corpsych.
Staff in the above locations are able to contact Davidson Trahaire Corpsych directly on their 24 hour telephone number 1300 360 364.
External Employee Assistance Services include free, confidential, short term counselling services, Manager Assist services and Trauma Assist services, post incident and consultancy advice.
Davidson Trahaire Corpsych are also able to provide group workshops and presentations on a range of wellness related topics, on a fee for service basis. If you are a current, permanent employee of the Department of Education, Training and Employment and have been made an offer of voluntary redundancy, you may be eligible to receive specialist services, as part of the government's Enhanced Employee Assistance Program.
These specialist programs are available to surplus employees and are designed to assist these personnel with competing in the broader job market.
