Injured employees may be able to access a range of leave during absences from work. This page includes the forms, policy and directives relevant for making application to access these different leave types.
Employees with work-related injury can apply for workers' compensation for costs associated with their injury, including wages, medical, hospital, rehabilitation and lump sum costs.
Employees with non work-related injury may be eligible to access income protection benefits from QSuper, once they have exhausted their sick leave balance and had 2 weeks of leave without pay.
Employees can also apply to access leave in accordance with their current leave balances, departmental policy and the relevant public service directives on types of leave.
