Schools Officers Folder

The Health and Safety for Schools Officers Folder was updated by the Organisational Health Unit in 2012 to include changes required by the Work Health and Safety Act 2011. It is a valuable resource for Schools Officers and staff involved in the supervision of Schools Officers.

The folder provides Schools Officers with information that will assist them in managing health and safety issues related to their specific roles.

Every part of the Health and Safety for Schools Officers Folder can be downloaded by clicking on the links below. The folder is divided into 6 sections of content. You can download each fact sheet or poster to collate your own Health and Safety for Schools Officers Folder.

Until the end of term 1 2013, the entire Health and Safety for Schools Officers Folder will be available as a single downloadable PDF file - Health and Safety for Schools Officers 2012 Adobe PDF document 2.4M.

This file does not include the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the Equipment and Machinery section or the Guideline for Managing Risks with Chemicals in DETE Workplaces in the Chemicals and Dangerous Goods section, however the downloadable PDF does contain information on where to find the SOPs and the Chemicals Guideline.

The separate contents of the schools officers folder is available by section below:

Section 1 - Schools Officer Induction

Section 2 - Course Information

This section will now focus on risk management information

Section 3 - Equipment and Machinery

Section 4 - Chemicals and Dangerous Goods

Section 5 - Working at Heights
