The WH&S Act 1995 requires that all workplaces with 30 or more workers (including regular visiting teachers and volunteers) have a trained Workplace Health & Safety Officer (WHSO).
Our workplace health and safety courses are all specifically designed for school staff. Staff attending will benefit from an Education Queensland presenter experienced in school WH&S issues, school-specific case studies and school relevant discussion.
The course fee is $850 for the WHSO Core Module and $340 for the Service Elective. Both modules, a total of 7 days, must be completed within a 6 month period to attain WHSO certification.
The WHSO Re-certification course fee is $410. Course duration is 3 days.
Fees are well below private industry levels and includes catering, course notes and resources.
