Occupational Health and Safety Tool Kit

The Occupational Health and Safety Tool Kit was developed by the Organisational Health Unit in 1999 as a self audit tool. The 'Tool Kit' aimed to help schools and other work units manage health and safety issues through the use of a detailed self-evaluation package and a set of introductory resources.

The auditing method and basic information in the Tool Kit is relevant and may assist users in establishing management systems in the school, however users should be mindful of using current departmental policies and procedures and appropriate legislation.

Workplace Health and Safety Officers (WHSO) will notice that the questions in the Annual Assessment Template are based on the Tool Kit.
