Initiatives

The department offers a range of initiatives for aspiring, preservice and current teachers to assist with career progression.

Teach Team: Education Queensland Teaching Ambassadors

The Teach Team is a team of knowledgeable, experienced and passionate educators who provide quality-assured presentations to preservice teachers, aspiring teachers and secondary students on behalf of the department.

Scholarships and grants

The department offers a range of scholarships and grants to support existing teachers as well as individuals who have chosen teaching as a career and are commencing or undertaking studies to become a teacher.

Make a difference. Teach. promotional material

Under the Make a difference. Teach (MADT) campaign, a suite of marketing collateral has been produced to assist with the promotion of employment opportunities within the department at career events and higher education institution information sessions.

Requests for promotional resources must be submitted on the request for MADT promotional material form Adobe PDF document a minimum three weeks prior to the event and will be subject to availability. Departmental presence at careers fairs and expos

Every year, representatives from the department attend a range of national careers events and expos, including careers fairs at Queensland higher education institutions.
