Due to the Queensland Government's commitment to quality language studies in schools the department currently has a high demand for Language Teachers particularly in rural, remote and regional schools across Queensland.
The Department of Education and Training is committed to providing high-quality education services to students in Queensland state schools and to ensuring the availability of quality teachers to deliver them - now and in the future.
Language Teachers in state schools:
Language studies are an important part of the Queensland state school curriculum and are offered in most primary and secondary school settings.

Teachers in rural, remote and regional areas may benefit from greater opportunities for valuable experience and advancement. These locations often feature supportive school communities and developmental teaching and learning opportunities.
If you are appointed to a schools in an identified remote areas, you may be eligible for incentives under the Remote Area Incentive Scheme (RAIS).
