The department offers a number of scholarships or grants to high achieving aspiring preservice teachers who are about to commence or are currently completing an approved undergraduate or postgraduate preservice teacher education program.
While some scholarships are offered annually, others are offered from time-to-time or on a 'one-off' basis to assist with meeting workforce demand.
Pearl Duncan Teaching Scholarships
Available to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders who have chosen teaching as their career.
Step Into Teaching Scholarships
Available to high-achieving science and mathematics graduates who are committed to becoming senior mathematics, chemistry or physics teachers in Queensland state high schools. Scholarship recipients receive generous financial study assistance and the opportunity to obtain valuable experience and consolidate their skills through teaching in a supportive, rural, remote or regional environment after graduation.

Supports high-achieving students commencing a teacher education program at a Queensland Higher Education Institution (HEI).
Beyond the Range - Professional Experience Grants
Offer financial support to high-achieving, pre-service teachers undertaking a professional experience placement in rural or remote Queensland state schools.
