Therapy roles in schools

The department is committed to the provision of quality education services for students with disability.

These services focus on the enhancement of education programs and outcomes for students with intellectual disability, physical impairment, vision impairment, hearing impairment, speech-language impairment, autism spectrum disorder or speech language communication needs.

There are many opportunities for qualified, professional and team orientated occupational therapists, physiotherapists and speech-language pathologists to work collaboratively with teachers to support the access, participation and success of students in Queensland state schools.
