Reference and information services
The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Learning and Engagement Centre Libraries provide personalised assistance in selecting resources and information relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies, and many other subject areas. The libraries also provide services in the following areas:
- Literature database searches are carried out on library and online reference databases for teaching and research purposes on request;
- Education Queensland personnel have desktop access to a compilation of online databases relating to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues with references to journal articles, research reports and conference papers;
- Select bibliographies are provided on request;
- Library staff provide guidance in selecting appropriate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander information and resources;
- Requests for information and resources are available via e-mail or phone;
- Internet and fax to assist clients in remote locations.
Document delivery services
Document delivery services are available to assist you with accessing/obtaining documents from other Australian libraries.
Book and information displays
Book and information displays are provided on request for cultural and school events.
Facilities
- Workshop facilities are available in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Learning and Engagement Centre Library, South Queensland (Inala) for small groups;
- Photocopy facilities are available in the libraries for research purposes;
- Audio and visual facilities are available for use.
